Edmond school financial officer David Fraser dies

Edmond Public Schools chief financial officer David Fraser died Sunday.

“As board members, we know that we could trust him implicitly with district resources,” Board of Education President Jamie Underwood said. “He was a wise steward of what were often limited resources and his conservative approach helped to place this district in a sound financial position.”

Shawn Ingle, technology supervisor, said, “I considered him a friend first and my boss second. He was one of the most kindhearted and caring individuals that I have ever had the pleasure to work with.”

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at New Covenant Church in Edmond. Viewing will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Matthews Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Donna, a longtime staff member at Edmond North High School, a son, a daughter and two grandchildren.
