EDMOND — People at the Edmond Senior Center regularly spend time enjoying tai chi, a graceful form of meditation in motion.
Tai chi was developed as a self-defense system of fighting, using hands and weapons, such as swords and spears. But in modern times, it has evolved into a gentle, low-impact exercise system that helps reduce stress and improves circulation.
Classes are scheduled for Mondays and Fridays throughout March. David Kamphaus is the instructor. Tuition is $30 a month or $5 a session.
