EDMOND — Every now and then Tanner Jones, a 10-year-old Pomeranian, trots into the Blue Ribbon Pet Boutique for a trim and a thorough bath.
On a recent day, Blackjack Wolfe, a schnauzer, soaked in the tub for a wash and rinse. About 20 dogs a day come in for grooming at the boutique. "A lot of the dog owners say that their dogs act really excited whenever they get near our front door,” said Janie Drake, owner of the pet boutique at S Kelly and W Edmond Road. "The dogs love coming here because we make it comfortable for them.”One clean canine
Several locations in the Edmond area offer grooming services for dogs.
At Max and Elsie's Pet Resort, S Kelly and W 15th, dogs can get a coat polish, teeth brushing and a therapeutic massage bath.
At Love on a Leash, E 15th Street and Chelsea Drive, about 25 to 30 pets a day are groomed and bathed, manager Lynn Gooch said.
Although Camp Bow Wow specializes in doggy day care, they also perform grooming.
PETCO and PetSmart in Edmond also offer traditional dog-grooming services.
