Downtown Edmond was filled with great deals over the weekend during the annual Krazy Daze sales sponsored by the Downtown Edmond Business Association.

Laughter could be heard across downtown as the young and old threw balls at Citizen’s Bank of Edmond’s dunk tank, sending some of the city’s best into the water.

This year’s Krazy Daze benefited the Hope Center of Edmond, an organization developed in 1984 to meet a community need for a central agency to provide social services.

Krazy Daze has been an annual tradition in Edmond since the early 1960s, when Hoot Gibson, owner of McCalls, 21 S Broadway, came up with the sidewalk sale idea to help clear out inventory from downtown retailers’ stores. The event has gained in popularity throughout the years.
