Edmond’s new electrical substation is up and running

Edmond Electric has a new $2.6 million substation online in the northeast part of the city. The new substation is named after Charlie Burgett, the director of Edmond Electric for 19 years.

EDMOND — Edmond Electric’s newest electrical substation, designed for growth, is now online in the northeast part of the city.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the $2.6 million substation is set for 2 p.m. Wednesday. The C.R. Burgett Substation is on Air Depot Road, just north of Covell Road.
