Horace Mann meeting to be Thursday

A community meeting is planned to discuss upcoming MAPS construction project at Horace Mann Elementary, 1105 NW 45. The meeting will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at the school. The $1.9 million project will add classrooms and a gym at the northwest Oklahoma City school. The school was built in 1923 and already has received about $2.2 million in MAPS renovations. The school is designed to accommodate about 300 students in prekindergarten through sixth grade.

OCU names new trustees

Two new members have been elected to the Oklahoma City University Board of Trustees. Meg Salyer is a member of the Oklahoma City Council. She is CEO of Accel Financial Staffing and president of Broadway Realty. She serves on the Oklahoma City Riverfront Redevelopment Authority Committee, the Downtown School Site Selection Committee and the city council's Economic Development Committee. William Mee is a commercial real estate developer and asset manager. He owns and manages Pro Realty Real Estate Co. in Oklahoma City. He is a member of the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission, Oklahoma Commercial Real Estate Council and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
