Guitarist

to host class

Santa Fe South High School will host a free master class for students with guitarist Frank Vignola. The class will be at 10:15 a.m. Jan. 24 at the school auditorium, 301 SE Grand. Vignola has worked with Ringo Starr, Madonna, Donald Fagen, Wynton Marsalis, Tommy Emmanuel, the Boston Pops, the New York Pops and guitar legend Les Paul. Mentor Day set at Capitol

The Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence is hosting Mentor Day at the state Capitol on Wednesday. The event is part of National Mentoring Month. The day begins with an opening ceremony to honor mentors throughout the state at 10 a.m. in the state House of Representatives. The event includes lunch and a performance by drummer and storyteller Jahruba Lambeth. Mentors and mentees from across Oklahoma will tour the Capitol and meet state leaders.
