Enrollment is open for Oklahoma Virtual High School for the 2013-14 school year. The full-time online school is open to students in grades six through 12. Applications are due by March 31. The school does not charge tuition and offers traditional classes, including Advanced Placement courses and electives. Education Department staffer named
The state Education Department has named a new communications director. Sherry Fair has previously worked as the communications director for Oklahoma City Public Schools and as the MAPS for Kids campaign manager. She has also worked for City Arts Center and Preferred Management Corp. Fair will begin her new job at the end of the month. She replaces Damon Gardenhire, who resigned in October.
