Eighth-grader at Jenks Middle School charged as an adult with murder

A 14-year-old was charged with murder as an adult Thursday in the fatal shooting of a woman in Jenks last month.

A 14-year-old was charged with murder as an adult Thursday in the fatal shooting of a woman in Jenks last month.

Joshua Scott Mooney was charged in Tulsa County District Court with one count each of first-degree murder and second-degree burglary.

Mooney, an eighth-grader at Jenks Middle School, was arrested Dec. 18 in connection with the fatal shooting of Mary Escue, 47, of Reno, Nev.
