El Reno man dies in crash in Blaine County, Oklahoma

Joseph Anthony Vorva, 18, of El Reno, was a passenger in a car that failed to yield at a stop sign and was struck by another car near Canton in Blaine County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

CANTON — An El Reno man died in a two-car accident Saturday in Blaine County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Joseph Anthony Vorva, 18, died at the scene.

The crash occurred about 6:50 a.m. on State Highway 58, just north of Canton.

Troopers said Vorva was a passenger in a car that failed to yield at a stop sign about 6:50 a.m.

The car was struck by a car driven by Julie Kay Hulsey, 48, of Perryton, Texas.

Jessica Webster, 23, of Canton, the driver of the car Vorva was riding in, and two other passengers, Meilani Corder, 17, of Helena, and Frankie Cometsevah, 17, of El Reno, were injured.

Webster and Corder were treated at a hospital in Okeene; Cometsevah was flown to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he was listed in critical condition, the patrol reported.

Hulsey and a juvenile passenger in her car also were treated at the hospital in Okeene.
