Election Day weather in Oklahoma will be sunny with temperatures in the 70s and light wind in central Oklahoma.

The National Weather Service forecast for central Oklahoma is as follows:

Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 73. West, southwest wind 5 to 11 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon.

Tuesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 39. North wind 5 to 9 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny with a high near 71. North wind 5 to 8 mph becoming south, southeast in the afternoon.

Wednesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 44. Southeast wind 8 to 14 mph with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Thursday: Sunny with a high near 75. Windy with a south wind 15 to 20 mph increasing to 21 to 26 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 37 mph.

Thursday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 55.

Friday: Mostly cloudy with a high near 74.

Friday night: A 20 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a low around 58.

Saturday: A 30 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms. Cloudy with a high near 75.

Saturday night: A 40 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a low around 56.

Veterans Day: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a high near 64.

Sunday night: A 40 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a low around 34.

Monday: Mostly sunny with a high near 55.
