8:30 a.m. The man who showed up at Coolidge Elementary School Friday morning was a legitimate safety officer, said police Master Sgt. Gary Knight. The school is all clear. The school officials did not know he was coming to the school this morning and his arrival caused the scare. The school is no longer on lockdown.

8:12 a.m. — A school is reportedly on lockdown in south Oklahoma City Friday morning.

Someone went into the school about 8 a.m. and claimed he was with “security,” a police spokesman said. He is considered an unauthorized man in the school, said police Master Sgt. Gary Knight.

The students are being taken into the cafeteria.

The school is at 5212 S Villa Ave. in south Oklahoma City.
