Eleven-year-old golfer qualifies for US Women's Open Published: May 20, 2014

Not even a teenager yet, Lucy Li can say she's made history in the golf world.

The California golfer carded rounds of 74 and 68(winning by seven strokes) Monday in a sectional qualifier to book her spot in the U.S. Women's Open. She'll be the youngest player in history to qualify for the prestigious event.

The 11-year-old has beaten Lexi Thompson's and Morgan Pressel's age record to reach this year’s competition at Pinehurst. Thompson and Pressel each played the US Open at age 12.
