Ahead of the Emmy nominations announcement tomorrow morning, LA Times TV critic Mary McNamara gave ET the lowdown on this year's most promising contenders.
As more movie stars have looked to TV as a creative outlet, Julianne Moore, Nicole Kidman, Clive Owen and Kevin Costner are likely to be the biggest names among the nominees.
Moore transformed into Sarah Palin for the HBO movie Game Change, while Kidman played writer Martha Gellhorn alongside Owen (portraying Ernest Hemingway) for HBO's Hemingway & Gellhorn. In keeping with the trend, Costner played a historical character from the Civil War days. The two-time Oscar winner embodied "Devil Anse" Hatfield for the History Channel mini series Hatfields & McCoys.
