It is one of the Norman Rockwell's "Light Campaign" series. Titled "The Birthday Wish," it shows a scene of a child with her parents blowing out candles on her cake. They are illuminated with warm, soft light from an electric lamp above them. This plate is the sixth and final plate in the series, and I have the certificate of authenticity.

Could you tell me more about my plate and its value?

A: The series was inspired by Rockwell's illustrations in the 1920s for the Edison Lamp Works. Rockwell's original art was intended to encourage people to see the advantages of electricity. Edison Lamp Works is now General Electric.

Your plate was issued in 1984 and would probably be worth $40 to $50.
