Enid police release name of fire victim

Enid police have released the name of a man found dead May 7 after an Enid house fire. The state medical examiner has positively identified fire victim Christopher Coffee, 59.

— Police have released the name of a man found dead in a house fire on May 7.

Christopher Coffee, 59, was found dead in a fire at 1510 W Randolph.

On Friday the state medical examiner’s office positively identified Coffee.

Coffee died of smoke inhalation and thermal burns, according to the medical examiner’s office. The death remained under investigation Friday, said Enid police Capt. Jack Morris.

The manner of death is still pending and will be determined after reviewing the fire marshal’s report from the Enid Fire Department. has disabled the comments for this article.
