Escaped McAlester inmate recaptured in Shawnee
McALESTER — An inmate escaped from a minimum-security correctional center Monday night and stole a vehicle before being recaptured in Shawnee , officials said.
Jerry Massie , Correction Department spokesman, said David Mcalpin , 24, was reported missing about 6:15 p.m. from Jackie Brannon Correctional Center in McAlester . He was captured three hours later.
