Kirk Herbstreit, one of college football’s busiest analysts, is having an easier time this season thanks to his ABC/ESPN bosses.

Unlike last season, when he made several long plane trips on Saturday, Herbstreit usually has been assigned to broadcast the game from which ESPN’s College GameDay (9-11 a.m. Saturday) is based.
