ESPN's BCS Championship telecast second-highest-rated cable telecast ever

Game receives a 29.1 rating in Oklahoma City

ESPN's telecast of the BCS Championship game posted a 16.2 fast national rating, making it the second-highest-rated cable telecast ever behind last year's BCS final (17.8). The telecast received a 29.1 rating in Oklahoma City, a 19 percent increase over last year's final. CBS' Steelers-Broncos playoff telecast received a 24.0 national rating, including a 23.6 on KWTV-9, making it the highest-rated NFL wild-card game in 18 years.

ESPNU's telecast of the Bedlam men's basketball game Monday night managed only a 4.2 rating, down 42 percent from the first game last year in Stillwater (7.3).
