Community Action Agency of Oklahoma City to host Weatherization Day

Weatherization Day event is from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday in the lobby of Community Action Agency of Oklahoma City, 319 SW 25.

For low-income families, cranking up the heat when temperatures fall is not always an option, even with upward of 14 percent of their annual income going for energy compared with 3.5 percent for other households.

The U.S. Department of Energy's Weatherization Assistance Program reduces the energy burden on low-income families by installing cost-effective, energy efficiency measures.
