Baptist Association sets meeting
"Every Day Evangelism” is the theme of the Capitol Baptist Association’s 120th annual meeting set for Tuesday at Putnam City Baptist Church, 11401 N Rockwell.
Activities will include association business reports on the ministries sponsored by churches, and inspirational music and messages. Sessions will be at 10 a.m., 2 and 6:30 p.m.
Keynote speaker for the evening session will be the Rev. Leroy Gainey, senior pastor-teacher of First Baptist Church of Vacaville, Calif. He is an associate professor of church growth and applied theology at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, Mill Valley, Calif.
Free child care for children up to 4 years old will be provided with reservations made by Monday. To make child care reservations, call 942-0244.
Meditation program offered
Hindu swami Paramahamsa Nithyananda will teach a "yoga to life” program from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Express Event Center, 8512 Northwest Expressway.
Nithyananda is touring the United States and Canada, offering the meditation program, "Aligning Intentions and Actions: The Kalpataru Program.” Preregister by e-mailing okc@yogam4you.org.
Faith discussion set at OU
NORMAN — Rabbi Brad Hirschfield, author of "You Don’t Have to Be Wrong for Me to Be Right,” will be a guest speaker at the free fall speaker’s event presented by the University of Oklahoma’s Religious Studies Outreach Program.
"The Abraham Traditions: What’s Faith Got to Do With It?” is set for 7 p.m. Oct. 27 in Meacham Auditorium, Oklahoma Memorial Union, 900 Asp Ave.
Hirschfield, pictured, is president of the Jewish Center for Leadership and Learning in New York City. Other speakers include the Rev. Robin Meyers, author of "Saving Jesus” and pastor of Mayflower Congregational Church, Oklahoma City; and Imad Enchassi, president and senior imam of the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City.
Analyst to speak at breakfast
EDMOND — Grant Long, Oklahoma City Thunder TV analyst, will be guest speaker at the Edmond Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast set for 7 a.m. Oct. 28 in the Grand Ballroom in the Nigh Center at the University of Central Oklahoma, 100 N University Drive.

Ministry offers boot camp
NORMAN — A before-work boot camp will be offered by Body and Soul ministry beginning Monday at Journey Church’s east campus, 1330 E Lindsey.
The coed five-week session will be offered from 6 to 7 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays through Nov. 20. Cost is $3.50 per class.
Body and Soul is an international nonprofit fitness ministry with headquarters in Germantown, Md. Other metro-area classes are at Quail Springs Baptist Church and Quail Springs Church of Christ in Oklahoma City and Henderson Hills Baptist Church in Edmond.
