Castle preparing medieval feast
MUSKOGEE — The annual Boare’s Heade Feaste will be Nov. 21 at The Castle of Muskogee, 3400 Fern Mountain Road. Spend an evening with King Henry VIII and Queen Margaret of Scotland and their entertainment troupe while enjoying a medieval feast. The event is from 7 to 10 p.m., and tickets are $34.95.

South Latin American flavors on menu
NORMAN — The North Park Grille, 2501 Conference Drive in the Norman Embassy Suites, will host the "Taste of South Latin America” wine dinner at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 13.

The five-course meal includes beef-tip empanadas, spicy braised pork shoulder tamale and salad, a lemon ice mojito shot, chimichurri-marinated rib eye and a flan trio for dessert. Each course is paired with a different wine.

Medicine Park presents chili contest, live music

Both Gourmet Gallery locations will hold holiday open houses Saturday.

Free samples of beverages and snacks will be available at the Edmond store, 1532 S Boulevard, and the Northpark Mall location, 12032 N May.

Samples will include Double Chocolate Mate Tea, Cinnamon Vanilla Tea, Curry Dip with Veggies and Shrimp, Gourmet Gallery Holiday Salad with Balsamic Fig Dressing and Cranberry Orange Top It Off, Pumpkin Soup, condiment bar with various relish and chutneys, Killer Pecans, Bear Creek Turkey with Dr. Pete’s Praline Mustard Glaze, Bear Creek Ham with Stonewall Black Cherry Cognac Sauce, Peach Crisp with Frontier Oatmeal and Chocolate Pecan Pie.

Free knife sharpening offered
NORMAN — International Pantry, 1618 W Lindsey, will hold a free knife sharpening Nov. 12.

Customers may bring up to three straight-edged knives of any brand (no serrated blades) to the store and have them professionally sharpened for free. Customers who choose to trade in an old knife will receive a 20 percent discount on all Wusthof, Henckel or Kyocera products. Sample knives will be available for customers to use.

Chris Adams, representative of Wusthof-Trident of America, will sharpen knives from 2 to 6 p.m.
