Evil can be said without four-letter words

Published: December 14, 2013

Though I agree that swearing is vulgar and tiresome, I'd like to point out to Dwain Thacker (Your Views, Dec. 7) that a lot of evil can be said without ever using a four-letter word. Hateful, vicious words are said to others, as are vulgar ones, because we're human beings in the process of growing, not finished works. At the end of the day, Garth Brooks is just a human being. I like the way comedian Steve Harvey said it recently: “The problem is, ‘the old Steve' is always standing next to me, wanting to take over.”
