Ex-doctor's wife accused of threatening Tulsa witnesses

TULSA -- The wife of a former Tulsa doctor has been charged with threatening two witnesses in an effort to cover up child sex abuse charges against her husband.

Carrie Ann Smith faces two counts of preventing a witness from giving testimony and is free on $20,000 bond.

Her husband — Kirk Smith — was arrested in July and charged in September with sexually abusing a minor.

Before his arrest Kirk Smith practiced family medicine and obstetrics at SouthCrest Hospital in Tulsa.
