CONWAY, Ark. (AP) — A former Hendrix College golfer has been hired as head coach of the college's men's and women's golf teams.

Hendrix announced Tuesday that Jay Lester will take over the two programs.

Lester was an All-Arkansas Intercollegiate Conference and NAIA All-District selection while playing at Hendrix as a senior in 1982.

Lester has worked as an accountant and as manager of an International Golf Store. He spent the past 13 years as owner of Little Rock Golf.
