A hearing is scheduled before an Oklahoma County district judge about whether a felony bribery case against two former state lawmakers should be dismissed.

District Judge Cindy Truong is expected to hear arguments Thursday in the case of former state Rep. Randy Terrill and former state Sen. Debbe Leftwich.

Terrill is charged with offering a bribe and Leftwich is charged with accepting one in an alleged scheme to set Leftwich up in a state job so a Republican colleague of Terrill's could run for her open seat.

Both Terrill and Leftwich are seeking to have the case dismissed.

If the judge opts not to dismiss the case, both defendants are seeking to have separate trials.

Truong is expected to rule on both requests on Thursday.
