Roger Shane Carroll, 40, of Eucha, was arrested Tuesday night on complaints of defrauding a restaurant and resisting and obstructing a police officer.

Carroll is the former Jay Middle School principal who resigned June 30 following a fatal boat crash the previous summer on Grand Lake.

Carroll left the restaurant, and police found him at a motel, the affidavit states. Police told Carroll the restaurant manager “just wanted him to sign his debit card receipt,” according to the affidavit. Carroll began to curse the police officer. He refused to sign the receipt, answer questions or reveal the names of the men who were with him, the affidavit states.
