Ex-professor refuses to waive extradition in Oklahoma child porn case

A retired Pennsylvania professor charged in Oklahoma with manufacturing child pornography is refusing to waive extradition.

At a hearing Monday in Bloomsburg, Pa., attorneys for 65-year-old Gary Doby refused to waive extradition and requested a full hearing. Columbia County, Pa., Assistant District Attorney Brenda Hess says an extradition hearing will be held on Feb. 21 to determine if Doby is the individual wanted in Oklahoma.

Oklahoma prosecutors last month charged Doby and former McLoud school teacher 48-year-old Kimberly Ann Crain, in the case in which prosecutors allege Crain took photographs of as many as 14 young girls while they were changing and shared them with Doby.

Doby remains jailed in Columbia County on a $500,000 bond. His Pennsylvania attorney, Cleveland Hummel, did not immediately return a telephone message.
