QUINTON — A former Quinton substitute teacher has received a 10-year suspended sentence in the rape of a male student.

A local newspaper reports that 24-year-old Andrea Antrich pleaded no contest in Pittsburg County District Court to a felony charge of second-degree rape for having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old male student.

Antrich, of Quinton, was originally charged in December with five counts of second-degree rape. She faced up to 15 years for each count.

After pleading no contest, Antrich was sentenced to a 10-year suspended sentence and the rest of the charges were dismissed.

Authorities say Antrich had an ongoing sexual relationship with the 17-year-old in October and November of last year.

A phone listing for Antrich could not be immediately located.
