BROKEN ARROW (AP) - A former youth minister committed suicide as authorities were preparing charges he molested a teen-age girl.

David Glen Randol, 38, died Tuesday in his garage of an apparently self-inflicted bullet wound , police Capt. Daryle Bascom said.

Felony charges against Randol were to be filed Tuesday, Tulsa Assistant District Attorney John Priddy told the Tulsa World.

The charges included lewd molestation, rape by instrumentation, sodomy and sexual abuse by a guardian. They stemmed from allegations that Randol sexually abused a girl who attended the Arrow Heights Baptist Church.

The incidents are alleged to have begun when the girl was 13 and ended when she was 15, Priddy said .

Randol had been youth minister at the church for about a year. He resigned in April.
