Exit ramp of Interstate 44 in Oklahoma City closed due to hole in bridge

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — State highway officials say the off ramp from eastbound Interstate 44 onto southbound I-35 in Oklahoma City is closed to repair a hole in the bridge.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says the ramp near Wilshire Boulevard will likely remain closed until about 5:30 p.m. Thursday — following the start of rush hour traffic.

ODOT also says the left lane of southbound I-35 between Wilshire and Northeast 63rd is also closed while the repair work is underway.

Drivers are asked to use southbound U.S. 77 — also known as Broadway Extension — or Interstate 235 as alternate routes.
