Explosion near Will Rogers World Airport blows off manhole cover
An explosion blew a manhole cover off Saturday in southwest Oklahoma City near Will Rogers World Airport.
About 9:15 a.m., Oklahoma City Fire Department responded to a call about an explosion at 6425 S Eddie Ave.
“An electrical transformer blew up and blew the manhole cover lid off,” said fire Deputy Chief Marc Woodard .
There were no injuries to fire personnel in the area, he said.
