Extension Service will offer summer youth workshops in Oklahoma City

The Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service will offer youth workshops this summer in Oklahoma City for children and teens to learn healthy living skills and prepare for adulthood.

The Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service will offer youth workshops this summer for children and teens to learn healthy living skills and prepare for adulthood.

The workshops for ages 9 to 19 will be at the Oklahoma County Extension Service, 930 N Portland.

The summer workshop series will kick off with “Babysitting 101” from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 28-29. Students will gain CPR and first aid certification.

Other summer workshops include:

Junior Master Gardener, June 12 and June 21.

Pizza and Pie, June 3.

Kids in the Kitchen, June 24 and June 25.

Sewing, June 24- 26 and July 14-16.

4-H Food Showdown, July 10-11.

Photography, July 16.

Jams and Jellies, July 17.

Preregistration is required for all summer workshops, and costs range from $10 to $40, said extension educator Cynthia Klumpp.
