Harmon recently said his new pupil, Phil Mickelson, will overtake his former pupil, Woods, as the world's No. 1 player.

As if Woods needed any incentive, look for him to stare down Oakmont, a course he played for the first time ever last April.

Woods has gone two straight events without winning, yet is perceived to be struggling. Ridiculous.

Mickelson's psyche is battling a tender wrist and last year's 72nd-hole blunder at Winged Foot.

Woods' biggest distraction is the pending birth of his first child, not his swing.
