Another feature on Facebook is the ever-popular wall. The wall allows you to write messages to friends. It is like an email message that everyone can see.

Posting pictures or videos on the wall is another feature Facebook offers.

“Posting pictures on Facebook is so much easier than making multiple copies and giving them to people,” said Zohal Heidari, a junior at Heritage Hall and an avid Facebook user since her sophomore year in high school. Bob Clark, also a junior at Heritage Hall, gets on Facebook every time he gets on the computer.

“It’s a habit.” he said, “I get on Facebook just to look at pictures of myself.”

Discovering music is another feature of Facebook. New bands not on iTunes can get their music across to people easily. Upcoming concerts, new songs and pictures of the band members can all be put on Facebook.

Harrison Shaw, 17, the lead vocalist for the band Hold ‘em High, uses Facebook to showcase his band.

“Facebook, I think, is the perfect way to spread news about concerts, new events and things like that,” he said, “because the inviting and messaging system is so much easier.”
