Fallin appoints new Oklahoma Board of Corrections member

The husband of State Rep. Katie Henke, R-Tulsa, banker Frank X. Henke IV, was named to an interim position on the state Board of Corrections on Wednesday.

Gov. Mary Fallin appointed Tulsa banker Frank X. Henke IV to the state Board of Corrections on Wednesday.

Henke, the husband of State Rep. Katie Henke, R-Tulsa, will replace T. Hastings Siegfried, who resigned earlier this year.

Henke is the president and chief executive officer of American Bank and Trust Co. in Tulsa. He will serve on an interim basis until full Senate confirmation. The term ends March 15, 2019.

Henke said he looks forward to addressing prisoner population and staffing problems facing the state Corrections Department.

Henke earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. He also has a law degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law.
