False alert produces jail time

TULSA -- A woman who caused a false Amber Alert by saying her 2-month-old son was taken along with her van was sentenced Monday to 30 days in the Tulsa County jail and ordered to pay nearly $5,000 in restitution.

Lisa Annette Miller, 29, pleaded guilty to falsely reporting a crime and two counts of obstructing an officer.

More than 100 area law enforcement officers searched nearly three hours for her son and van before she admitted her call was a ruse to spur the search for her van.
