Famed Ponca City pilot, businessman dies at 87
PONCA CITY — Truman Smith , the decorated World War II bomber pilot who went on to a life of television, movies, writing and was a successful businessman for many years in his native Ponca City, has died at age 87.
Smith died Wednesday at his home in Ponca City. Arrangements are pending with Trout Funeral Home and Crematory.
