Spc. Sarina Butcher was laid to rest Friday as the first female Oklahoma National Guard soldier killed in combat, but she will be remembered by family and friends as much more.

Hundreds gathered in this small southwest Arkansas town on Veterans Day to honor Butcher — a fun, cheery daughter, sister and mother who died defending the country she loved.
