Family members are mourning an Oklahoma City woman with a “big heart and great personality,” after her body was discovered in the trunk of her car in St. Louis four days after her infant son was found abandoned in an apartment complex.

Ebony Jackson, 30, was visiting friends and family in the St. Louis area with her 3-month-old son, Donavon Prom. The baby was found about 5 a.m. Friday in a car seat in the hallway of an apartment complex.

Jackson, who had no known connection to the apartment building, was nowhere to be found. Friends and family put together fliers when they couldn't reach her by cellphone.

Police got a court order Tuesday morning to activate a GPS tracker on her car, a 2004 Mitsubishi Galant. They found the car on a St. Louis street lined mostly with vacant lots and crumbling homes.

At least one neighbor told police the car had been there for days. Jackson's decomposed body was found in the trunk.

Jackson's aunt, Krisha Williams, wrote a note to friends on her Facebook page late Tuesday after family members were informed.

“I want to thank everyone for their calls, texts and Facebook messages,” Williams wrote. “I truly appreciate all the support shown to myself and my family during this entire time. Although things didn't turn out for the best, God is still good. May Ebony rest in peace and her son be reminded of her big heart and great personality.”
