The family has started a Facebook page called Finding Brae McLemore in an effort to reach him.

McLemore has a drug history and is in danger of hurting himself, said Joy Baker-Qualls, a Garfield County juvenile officer.

Garfield County issued a “pick up and detain order,” which equates to an arrest warrant for juveniles, she said.

Baker-Qualls said McLemore has a long history in drug court in the juvenile system. He may not want to be found.

“Sometimes they hide out,” Baker-Qualls said. “It's not that anyone's trying to be mean or that he is bad. He needs help. And we want to help him.

“He is a really neat kid and he's from a good family and has a strong support group of people who love him very much,” she said. “He's articulate and intelligent.”

Anonymous tips regarding McLemore's whereabouts can be left at (214) 717-6744, according to a flier provided to the media. He is described as white, 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds.
