Fan poll: Vote for the Fans' Choice City-Area Football Player of the Week

The playoffs opened on a high note Friday with some big upsets and big performances across the Oklahoma City-area.

And now fans can vote for the one they feel was the best.

The Fans’ Choice City-Area Football Player of the Week poll is live.

Pick one of the selections from the poll below, or write in your own candidate in the comments section, where you can tell us why your choice deserves Player of the Week honors.

Voting ends at 4 p.m. Tuesday and the results of the poll will appear in Wednesday’s Oklahoman.

Here are the candidates:

KeSean Brown, Midwest City: Brown rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns, while also taking a kickoff back 80 yards for a touchdown in the Bombers’ 49-25 rout of Edmond Santa Fe.

Luke Frankfurt, OCS: Junior scored four times on the ground, including a 53-yarder, to help lift the defending Class 2A champion in a 35-7 upset at Chisholm.

Chandler Garrett, Mustang: Sophomore quarterback threw for 264 yards, scored twice on the ground and orchestrated the Broncos’ game-winning drive in a 44-37 upset of Norman North.

Jesse Gregory, Tuttle: Senior rushed for 211 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries, lifting the run-heavy Tigers past Bethany 31-13.

Jacob Lewis, McGuinness: Senior quarterback continued his hot streak, rushing for five touchdowns and 378 yards in the Irish’s 40-27 upset victory in Ardmore.

Clayton Sims, Jones: Quarterback threw two touchdown passes and ran for one in the Longhorns’ 33-14 rout of Cushing.
