Fan poll: Vote for the Fans' Choice Football Player of the Week

Football season ended Thursday with three strong games, crowning new champions in each class.

With it being the final football poll of the season, The Oklahoman has chosen a top performer from each game.

Now fans can vote for the one they feel was the best.

The Fans’ Choice Football Player of the Week poll is live online at

Pick one of the selections from the poll below, or write in your own candidate in the comments section, where you can tell us why your choice deserves Player of the Week honors.

Voting now ends at 4 p.m. Tuesday and the results of the poll will appear in Wednesday’s Oklahoman.

Here are the candidates:

Nick Smith, Kingfisher: Sophomore running back scored all 30 points for the Yellowjackets in their 30-23 Class 3A victory against Blanchard, scoring four touchdowns, kicking a field goal and making 3 of 4 extra-point attempts. He also finished with 231 yards on just 10 carries.

Blake Summers, Davis: Quarterback led the Wolves’ remarkable rally in the final minutes to beat top-ranked Millwood 36-32 in the Class 2A championship, scoring two touchdowns down the stretch to finish the night with three touchdowns and 197 rushing yards.

Kalub Williams, Hollis: Running back scored the final two touchdowns for the Tigers during their 29-12 victory against Ringling in the Class A championship. He finished with just 37 yards on six carries, but his big plays proved the difference.
