The Womb, an art gallery that was to host a New Year's Eve party with the Flaming Lips, Sean and Yoko Ono, will remain shut for the event due to lack of permitting cited by the Oklahoma City Fire Marshal.

Rick Sinnett, who operates the gallery along with Flaming Lips singer Wayne Coyne, confirmed Friday morning they were not able to reach an agreement with city officials that would allow for the gallery at 25 NW 9 to stay open for the party and art showing, which was to follow a concert Saturday night at the Bricktown Event Center.

Sinnett told The Oklahoman efforts are under way to relocate the party and art showing to Farmers Market, 311 S Klein.
