An upcoming fashion show will give Oklahomans a chance to enjoy a fun night of fashion, hors d'oeuvres, white wine and music, all while helping hearing-impaired children in the state.
Fashion for a Passion is a fashion event featuring a show of clothing and accessories from CK & Company, and held for the sixth year by the Oklahoma City Chi Omega Alumnae Association.
“I think it's a great fundraiser. What woman doesn't want to go have a glass of wine, great hors d'oeuvres and watch a fashion show?” said co-chairman Susie Fuller. She is co-chairing the event along with Susan Coit. “At the same time, you're having all this fun and your ticket donation and whatever else you donate goes to Hearts for Hearing.”
In past years, the event has been held in private homes, but this year's Fashion for a Passion will be held at C/K & Co in Nichols Hills Plaza.
The models, all Chi Omega sisters, range in age from about 20 to 60, Fuller said.
“Women won't leave saying, ‘I can't wear one thing that they're wearing because the models are all 20-years-old and 6-feet-tall and a size double-zero,'” she joked.
The variously aged models will walk the runway in age-appropriate fashions so every woman will be able to relate to the styles shown, Fuller said.
During the past six years, the Oklahoma City Chi Omega Alumnae Association has donated more than $85,000 to Hearts for Hearing, an Oklahoma City organization that provides the first set of hearing aids for nearly every baby born with hearing loss in the state, said Kris Hopper, director of development for Hearts for Hearing.
