FBI, Midwest City investigate attempted bank robbery

Police and the FBI are searching for a man who tried Thursday morning to rob IBC Bank, 414 N Air Depot, in Midwest City.

The FBI and Midwest City police are looking for a man who tried to rob a Midwest City bank Thursday morning.

About 9:15 a.m., a man walked into the IBC Bank, 414 N Air Depot, and presented a note to the teller stating he had a weapon. The man left the bank without obtaining any money. No weapon was seen and no one was injured, the FBI reported.

The man was seen in a black sports car, heading northbound from the bank. The man was described as white, about 30 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and of medium build, the FBI reported.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 290-7770. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a $2,000 reward from the Oklahoma Bankers Association.
