FBI, Norman police search for credit union robber

A man walked into the OU Federal Credit Union, 2000 W Lindsey Ave., about 10 a.m. Tuesday and fled with an undisclosed amount of money, the FBI and Norman police reported.

— The FBI and Norman police are searching for a man who robbed a credit union Tuesday morning.

A man walked into the OU Federal Credit Union, 2000 W Lindsey Ave., about 10 a.m. and gave a teller a note demanding money and stating he had a gun, the FBI reported.

The teller gave the robber an undisclosed amount of money in a plastic grocery bag and he fled on foot. No one was injured, the FBI reported.

The robber was described as a black man in his early 20s, about 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall, about 185 pounds, and wearing a neon yellow hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and headphones, the FBI reported.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call 290-7770. Callers may remain anonymous.
