FBI, sheriff: Lynching report false

"He may still have an assault case against the guys he ran into out there," Grace said. "But we might have a case of false reporting. We're going to return our report over to the DA and see what he decides."

Grace said the FBI was immediately called when the report of a lynching came in."We were going to figure out if something like that did happen, no matter what it took," Grace said. "Something like that is the worse you can ever imagine, no matter what the color. Thank God it wasn't true."
