February programs set at National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum

Several programs, exhibits and events are scheduled for February at the Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, 1700 NW 63 in Oklahoma City.

First Friday Gallery Walk

Feb. 1, 2013 (11–11:45 a.m.)

Learn about the newly installed Prix de West Collection in the Eldridge Gallery. The presentation is led by the Museum’s Curator of Art Anne Morand. Free with Museum admission.

Saturdays for Kids—Bill Pickett Program                                                

Feb. 2, 2013 (10:30 a.m.)

Master storyteller and local entertainer Al Bostick will present a performance that delights while teaching. Witness as he re-creates the feats and exploits of pioneering Black rodeo cowboy Bill Pickett. Program begins at 10:30 a.m. Reservations requested by Noon, Feb. 1 at (405) 478-2250, Ext 264. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
