An federal agent was wounded Thursday in a shoot-out with a suspect who is still at-large, police said.

Ardmore police Sgt. Ryan Hunnicutt would not say which federal law enforcement agency the injured agent was working for because he had not spoken to the agency yet.

Hunnicutt said Ardmore police detectives, assisted by federal agents, were searching for Henry Jackson, a suspect in at least two other shootings, when they found his car just before 7 p.m. in a northeast Ardmore neighborhood.

The suspect, believed by police to be Jackson, opened fire on the officers. One federal agent was taken to a hospital in good condition. Another was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The Ardmore police officers were not injured. The suspect fled the scene in a silver Ford Taurus.

Hunnicutt said Jackson should be considered armed and “very dangerous.” Anyone who knows his whereabouts should call 911 and not approach him.

Ardmore Police Chief Ken Grace has called all staff to duty and is coordinating a search for Jackson.
